Meet Our Founder
Karina
Karina, the founder of Bush Girl Safaris, was raised in Northern California where she was immersed in diverse outdoor experiences and conservation projects from a young age. She was inspired by her Godfather, a seasoned outdoorsman and world traveler known as the “great white hunter.” He often shared captivating stories of his African safari adventures. This ignited Karina’s imagination, fostering a deep desire to explore Africa, its rich wildlife and culture.
As an avid outdoorswoman, conservationist, and hunter, Karina is passionate about shooting sports, training hunting dogs, upland bird hunting, and big game hunting. She embraces a legacy of exploration and adventure, having pursued hunting opportunities across various continents.
Karina was motivated by her life experiences, love for the outdoors, and wildlife. During her travels and hunting expeditions, she observed a lack of outdoor educational opportunities for women. This, in turn, led to the development of two organizations: Bush Girl Safaris and American Cowgirl Outdoor Adventures.
Her commitment to wildlife conservation and cultural exchange shines through in her mission to create meaningful and enriching outdoor adventures for women around the world.
